I've just reinstalled Pro6 Plus (and upgraded to 3.4) after a long hiatus, but the Moon and Mars are both no longer photo realistic. Jupiter and Saturn look good, but the Moon and Mars are not clear at all.
Thanks,
Jack

Hi Jack,
Would it be possible for you to attach a couple screenshots of Earth & Mars, and one of Jupiter and/or Saturn, so I can see what you are talking about.
Feel free to reply to an old ticket, or make another new ticket. I'm sure we can fix this for you.
I've attached some screen shots here. Keiron, did you want them here or on a support ticket?
Thank you,
Jack
Hi Jack,
I see what you are talking about. Something is definitely not right.
Well, I love a good mystery, and it seems we have one here. Looking at your attached images, it appeared to me that the Moon looks like the moon from one of the other planets in our solar system. So, i checked them all out, and it seems i was right. The image you have attached for the Moon is same as the image I have attached for Neptune's moon Nereid.
Compare the images, what do you think? is it the same?
So, we have solved the mystery, in part ;) Now the question is how did your program mix up the images used for Mars, the Moon and Nereid? Have you any ideas?
Ok, i think I know what happened. Remember, your initial installation produced the error message "The Planet Data File could not be found. Try reinstalling from original disks". But, you appeared to fix it by updating to 6.4.3. Well, I suspect the missing planet data was not recovered in the updates. So, this is what I propose. Please submit another ticket. Put "Missing Planet Data" in the ticket title/subject. I will give you a replacement download for Pro Plus 6.4.3 and I'm confident that with a new installation the Mars and Moon mapping issue will be resolved.
First of all,
You're working WAAAAY too late! :-)
Second of all,
You rock. I'll bet you got it right! Let's see! I have created a ticket.
Thanks, Keiron.
