Lens Flares et al.

I just upgraded to Starry Night Pro Plus 7 from 6, and remembered how to copy Favourites into the new program, but can't remember how to get rid of the lens flares that show up in the daytime sky. Also, I had copied a better solar "surface" into version 6 and wanted to replace the rather anemic image in 7 with that (I have observed the sun every clear day possible for 35 years, and the standard image doesn't really look like it), but when I restarted I saw the same Sun0.png that had been there before.

It would really be helpful for those who upgrade to have an "Import settings from..." a previous version so as to avoid all this tedium.

AGREED!!!  Many other software packages are able to keep my settings and personal data intact and operative after an update.  I love using Starry Night Pro, and I wish it would perform these tasks automatically.  Alas, I've quit using Starry Night's calendar, observing list, observing log, and equipment list because I've lost several entries in those data sets over the years.  It's just not worth all the effort to search for files, transfer them, maintain them, and not forget any of them.  Hmmm...  Maybe I'm just getting old and becoming inept... but who isn't?

Hi, just right click on the SUN's image and select "Halo Effects > Lens Flare"

Frustrating agreed.   It's in the owners manual.
