When I use SkyBT with batteries - everything seems OK. ON/OFF switch works and LEDs are green. But when I connect external power the LED is a constant red and the ON/OFF switch does not work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Same here.
The constant red light is normal and just means the charging circuit is active.
The red On/Off button should be working although it will not turn the red charging light off.
You are using rechargeable batteries in the device when using external power, right? This is required as specified in the Quick Start guide.
