Starsense issues returned in SkySafari 7

Haven’t used SS7 with StarSense for a while and now had some time to go out for some stargazing, but noticed that a few issues that I reported last year are back: 1. When connected to StarSense through SkySafari 7 Plus, the bullseye that shows you where you are fails to zoom in the moment you are getting closer to an object. It won’t return to normal unless the app is closed and restarted. 2. After 10-15 minutes while stargazing, SS7 can’t locate it’s position anymore. I need to restart SS7 and follow the alignment procedure again. Because of these reoccurring issues, I returned to Celestron’s original StarSense app which has none of these issues. Mobile: iPhone 14 IOS version; 18.4.1 SS version: 7.5.3 (1128) Plus

Update: after re-installing SS7, it’s got even worse: When completing the alignment process, SS7 fails to find it’s position in rhe night sky, the bulls eye is way out of sync and unable to position itself. Software is completely useless at this point.

Received an unexpected invite to test SkySafari 7 Pro (7.6.1 (1156) which I will test in the upcoming weeks to see if the StarSense issue has been resolved.  Will test it on my iPhone 14 with IOS 18.6 and share the (beta) test results in a few weeks.
