7.6.0 Update Tonight Button Crash On iOS 18.5

Hi everybody, after the last update (7.6.0), SkySafari 7 Pro crashes on iOS 18.5 (tested both on iPhone and iPad) every single time I select Tonight button. I just asked for support to Simulation Curriculum and I’m waiting for a reply, but in meantime I’d like to know if someone else has the same problem.. Thank you.

Is this still an issue?  Developers have difficulty reproducing this issue.  We have checked iPhone and iPad, 18.5.

Please reboot your devices and try again.

    Thanks!

I tried reinstalling the app and solved for me. It seems an update issue. It crashed again when connecting to my LiveSky account, but after the crash I see that the account was connected the I can use the button “Tonight” again. Could it be an update problem regarding the LiveSky update (also because the Tonight section is correlated to the LiveSky account)?

    Excellent!

Andrea, I will forward your feedback to the developers - you may very well be right about the LiveSky accounts.

    Thanks so much!

    Hi,

This problem seems to be still present with iOS 18.6 and SkySafari 7.6.1 (1156) on my iPhone 16.

Is there any solution apart from reinstalling the App? How do I make sure no data/settings are lost while re-installing?

No information regarding this? The app is clearly limited in functionality with this issue..

Please ensure you first backup your data via Settings > LiveSky

    Then reinstall the app.

    Thanks, Eskil!

Think I got that to work. All observation plans and equipment and such are still there after deleting and re-installing the app.

I today have had exactly the same issue. If I select tonight. It crashes out. It happens on both my iPad and iPhone. I am using iOS 26 and iPad 26. I have removed it on both machines ans rebooted. Reinstalled. But both the same

I have the same bahaviour than Simonlh. SkySafari 7 pro version 7.6.1(1156)  was working fine on my iPhone 16 Plus until I update to ios26. Now It crashes each time I try to display tonight events. All the other functionalities seems to work fine. I have deleted the apps then reinstalled it without success. It still continues to crash when I select tonight.

Laurent.  That's the same with me.  I hope they bring out a new version that works correctly with IOS/IPADOS 26.  Its does just seem to be the Tonights events that crashes the app out.

Hi Simonlh, just for information, the Tonight functionality is working again this morning on my mobile apps. I hope it is the same for you.

Wow!  Thanks Laurent.  Yes working again.  They must have done something at their end.

Sometimes, the Tonight button gets corrupted when there is a version update.  Reinstalling the app will resolve the crashing issue.  Thanks everyone!
