Hey ya'll, I was curious which is the best method to connect my ipad with SS6 to my celestron 130slt (2017 make)? I only have the two "ethernet-looking" ports on my scope, one for the remote and one aux. I am not sure which method I should use/what I should buy to control my 130slt. Thanks!

Bill Tschumy You have a couple of options:
1. You can buy our SkyWire and connect through the jack on the bottom of the hand controller using a NexStar serial cable. This will be a wired connection and your iPad will be tethered to the scope.
2. You can buy our SkyFi 3 and set up a wireless connection to the scope. You again will need a NexStar serial cable that runs from the SkyFi to the bottom of the hand controller.
3. You can buy Celestron's SkyPortal wireless dongle. This plugs into the AUX port on your mount (not into the bottom of the hand controller). This will totally bypass the hand controller and you have to do everything via SkySafari. Some folks prefer to be able to use either the HC or SkySafari to control the scope. #1 & #2 will allow that but #3 does not.
I personally think #2 is the best solution but it is also the most expensive. A SkyFi will also work with almost any scope type while the SkyPortal dongle only works with Celestron scopes.
