Is there a way to add my own objects in SkySafari 5 Pro or 6, such as a comet or a deep sky object not in the database?

  Sorry, no.  It is a planned feature but we haven't gotten to it yet.

  I would like to add another vote for this feature. Although the SkySafari database is rapidly becoming the most extensive yet easily accessible, supernova and quasar events in particular would probably be most effectively handled as user objects.

  To deal with the recent brightening of quasar CTA-102, I created an observation list of a few objects in the same FOV. But I had no way of recording it's actual coordinates nor creating observations.

  Another vote for that feature! I was looking to find how to add some stars known to have interesting exoplanets...
