Unresolved bugs in SNPPv7 beta

I confess that I am disappointed in having made several reports on serious (apparent) bugs in beta SNPPv7.  I have received not a single response to more than one report.  In principle I love SNPPv7 but the bugs are so basic that it seriously interferes with my sessions.  Crashes are frequent, settings are not stored - and so on.  Sadly I have had to decide to abandon the tests until I get a meaningful response to the queries. These crashes do not happen with my other program.  I will be very happy to return to SNPPv7 if these basis bugs can be fixed - or if I can be pointed to any already available solutions.

    Hi Lawrence,

We are beta-testing and releasing SkySafari 6 for OS X in the next couple of weeks.  After that I'll will try to push out a Starry Night update with fixes for issues reported.  ETA April/May.

If you have access to Mac OS X you are welcome to beta test SkySafari 6 as well.

    Thanks for your continued patience.

    Hello again

To be honest, Keiron, this is exactly what you said to me last time (2017!).  As I said then, no I don't have a Mac OS. Two weeks seems an incredibly long time when it starts from November and lasts, so far, into March 2018. I had no choice but to abandon my use of SNPPv7 for winter. Great pity.

    regards

    Hi Lawrence,

Your position is well understood.  However, as I have explained before, we are a small company with quite a few industry-leading astronomy applications, and development cycles are set in advance, for each year.  Of late, the release of SkySafari 6 for iOS and OS X has been the focus.

Your feedback for the next update would be valuable.

    Thanks for your continued patience.
