Sky Safari 6 Pro | Apple Watch v2 Displays Black Screen

Upgraded from SS5Pro where the apple watch app appeared to work fine.  After upgrade to SS6Pro the apple watch app only displays a black screen with the time in the upper right corner.    Same if I try to use the SS5Pro watch app now as well.  Any ideas on how to get it working?  Seems to be no guidance in the manual pages.

    We had some problems with the watch app during the beta but I haven't heard of any after the release.

    If the SS5 watch app is no longer working then it sounds like something has changed on the watch.  Installing SS6 should have no effect at all on SS5.  They are totally separate apps.

    Did you try rebooting the watch?

    Yes, tried that.  Today watch os upgraded to 4.2.2, but that did not help. Running an iPhone 6S, if that matters.

    I had the same "black screen and a clock" problem today (4.2.2 on the watch). I deleted the app from my watch, reinstalled it, and it now works fine.

    Did some testing today as just reinstalling was not working.  Noticed I had test size bumped up and bold turned on with the watch, so reduced textsize and turned off bold.  Reinstalled both 5 and 6 on watch, restarted, and 5 worked.  Not 6.  I noticed when 5 starts fresh I get a long startup spinning icon (~1 min) before it loads the screens.  On 6, short startup icon (~10 sec) before the blank screen with time.   I repeated this process with different text size and bold settings, restarting watch each time after sometimes reinstalling.  On last try (textsize smallest, bold off; no reinstall but watch restarted; running 6 first) I got 6 to work, while 5 does not. (!?!)  Leaving it there for now.  Perhaps this will help others?

    I really doubt the text size has anything to do with it.  I think this is some flakiness with the watch running the apps.  There appears to be some sort of state that is kept around that affect if the app runs or not.  Sometime rebooting the watch clears it and sometimes a re-install will.

    I agree the textsize/bold is likely not the fault.  When I change it now, SS6Pro still works.  Same for SS5Pro when it was working. I also notice the text is the same in the app no matter how I set the size or boldness.

    I'm also getting just a black screen.  I tried uninstalling (on the watch) to no avail.  And I power cycled the watch with no luck.  Any other suggestions?  I'm using SS6P v6.2.2.0 on an iPhone 8S and Apple watch 4.  Watch has default accessibility settings.

    The SkySafari app will be also a black screen for my Apple Watch 3 Cellular. But when bold turned on by setting, a normal screen was indicated. When bold returned off, the SkySafari app also returns to a black screen.

    Apple Watch 5 has the same problem, any thoughts?
