Hi,
I am using SS Pro to match up stars and galaxies from my images. I am though not seeing many of the stars until I click over there location to select them and then they appear. I have done the star catalog upgrade and my star magnitudes for seeing them are set to 17.5 (to magnitude)and unlimited (ie never show fainter than) settings. My FOV is at 0.5 degrees or smaller. With the upgrade, I expect to be seeing 50 plus stars (or many more).

Can you attach 2 screen captures showing the field before tapping to select the invisible star and after? I am having a hard time understanding what you are seeing.

- extra memory available for storage
- optional star catalog installed
- image before selecting star (where it does not show up)
- image after selecting/taping star with star showing up

Ah, you are in Orbit mode. What is happening is that we don't show stars without known distances in Orbit mode, because there is no way to plot their 3D positions accurately. However, it looks like the code that selects stars via tapping, doesn't correctly ignore those stars. So this stars you are getting when tapping the blank sky should not be being selected (or shown).
If you are not in Orbit mode and zoom into a similar FOV, you will see all these faint stars.
