How to Migrate All Files And Settings (Locations, Equipment, Observing Lists, Etc.) From SS5 to SS6 on iOS

All the data migration instructions involve using iCloud with IOS 11 (which I don't have) or iTunes file sharing on a desktop (I only have SkySafari on my iPad). I can't discern how to transfer observing lists, equipment, observing locations, etc. from my v5 to v6. Both version are SkySafari Plus are ONLY on my iPad (not on desktop, not on iCloud). None of the instructions I've found seem to apply. I don't know what to do.

Did you look at the first item in the Help index?

Hi Bill. Thanks for your response. That's actually the reason for my query in that the first item in the help menu doesn't address how to do this for me because: 1) I don't use iCloud, 2) I don't know how I can use iTunes file sharing on my iPad (I don't have SS in any version on a desktop). The only place I have either version of SkySafari is on my iPad. It says I can email the files, but can't transfer my equipment that way. I just noticed that it says that I can't move my custom locations from SS5 to SS6 and will have to recreate them manually - it would be less of a hassle to upgrade if this were not the case. The responses other than iCloud or iTunes talk about emailing them. So do I email all my created observing lists so I can migrate them to SS6?

Sorry, I just realized that your question was about iOS.  Since we just released the macOS version, I just automatically assumed this was about that version.

As stated in the instructions, you can use iTunes File Sharing to move all the files.  iTunes File sharing will let you see all the files in SkySafari 5 on the iPad.  You can then copy them to your desktop and the (using iTunes File Sharing) import them into SS6.

If you don't know how to use iTunes File Sharing, please do a web search for instructions.
