SkySafari 6 Pro | Where Are The (In-App Purchased) Exoplanets And Stars?

Hi,

In the SkySafary Pro on iPad Pro (12"), I bought both in-app purchases. How come I cannot find any exoplanets ? I was looking for Kepler-186 star and cannot find it. I was looking for that star to get to the exoplanet Kepler-186F...

Is there a way to add a database with exoplanets ??

Thanks

Robert

We don't have exoplanets in SkySafari.  We never claim we do in our literature.

If you only bought the extended star database for this feature, you can ask Apple to refund your purchase.

😁 I DID not buy SkySafari and the extended database for this feature at all! I bought SkySafari and the databases because I think you have a GREAT software and I'm very pleased with it.

Probably my question was not well constructed (I'm French Canadian 😊) so my apologies if my question sounded not correctly. It was just a question because I was trying to find the star Kepler-186 (mag of 11.6),  I thought it would be in the extended database.

So maybe the exoplanets and stars could be on a list of "nice to have" in the future.

Again, thanks for the reply and thanks for a great software.

The SIMBAD database shows that star as having a visual magnitude of 12.5.  Even though it is not super dim, it really doesn't appear in any of the catalogs we have (even tough we go to mag 16.5 or so with the extended star catalog).  Not sure why this is.  Possibly it is next to a bright star and has been missed in the other catalog compilations.

Glad to hear you are enjoying SkySafari.
