FireFly BT | Always Works With Mac, But Sometimes Fails On Galaxy Tab S2 (Answer: Issue Must Originate With Galaxy Tab S2)

I use SkySafari 5 Pro together with my telescopes Meade LX90 and
Celestron Nexstar.
To control I use FireFly BT, because SkyBT is not sold in Germany.

The connection between Telescope and SkySafari on my Galaxy Tab S2
tablet sometimes takes a minute. Sometimes it does not work.

I also connected my notebook to my telescopes via Bluetooth. Both
programs (Skysafari and Carts du Ciel) connect without problems in a few
seconds! (= cable O.K.)
Maybe you have useful hints.

    Gerd,

If SkySafari on the Mac is connecting fine, then it is likely something with the tablet.  If I understand you correctly, it does work sometimes on the tablet?  I assume you have tried rebooting the tablet?

    Hi Bill,

yes that's right. It always takes a minute longer for SkySafari to connect to the telescope. Sometimes it does not work.
Even if I disconnect an existing connection, it does not connect immediately.

I've set the speed with the DIP switches on 9600 and 19200. It makes no difference to the tablet.

My Windows 10 Notebook, however, connects only with 9600 So I left the switch to 9600

    It is very strange.

You should *not* change the DIP switches.  SkySafari knows what communication settings your mount needs and sets them for you.  The baud rate is for the mount.  It should not matter at all whether you connected via a Notebook or an Android device.

Please put the 4 switches all the way towards the red button.  Possibly some of the flakiness is due to that.

I have already reset the switch.
    It makes no difference.
The connection problem existed before and persists after that.
Both, tablet and smartphone are ANROID devices.
Galaxy Tab S2 and Galaxy S7 edge.

I'm sorry, but I really have no further ideas (other than rebooting the device).  The fact that it works fine on one Android device seems to imply it is not a SkySafari or SkyBT issue per se.
