Will SkySafari 6 PRO for Android control my Celestron Nextstar Evolution scope that has its own internal wi-fi.
ie just as SkyPortal does without a cable

    Yes.  SkySafari has the same capabilities as SkyPortal.  You need to choose "Celestron Wi-Fi" and the scope type when connecting to the Evolution.
