Hello.
I would like to make astrometric resolution images in my smartphone, from images that are already there or image repatriated from my camera sony a7s. Are you planning to include this feature in the future?
thank you and congratulations to the team

Bill Tschumy I'm sure we don't have current plans for this, but can you describe exactly what you want SkySafari to do?

Frédéric Proxima Vexin I use my telescope with Skysafari for pointing. Anytime, I would liketo synchronize the actual position of the telescope with skysafari. for that, on pc there are solutions like PinPoint, astrotortilla etc. the typical use is this: goto on a galaxy in skysafari, then I made a first photo with my Sony A7s to verify that the telescope is on the object. I want to synchonize the telescope with an astrometric resolution of this first image in order to fine-tune it. In addition, it will be very useful after a meridian flip. to continue the astrophoto without shifting the FOV (after flip 'ill redo atrometric resolution for re center object)
I am sorry for my poor English, I was not very good student at school and I regret it every dayFrédo

Bill Tschumy Your english is just fine.
Now I understand. You want SkySafari to plate solve a picture through the scope and update it's location in the sky based on that, right? We have experimented with using plate solving to detect where the scope is pointed. It is possible this will make it into the SkySafari app at some point in the future.
