Hello, we have telescopes, eyepieces, barlows, etc., but it's also crucial to record the visual filter being used in making a good observation record. For example I like to use a Moon and sky glow filter to improve planetary contrast,but I would also like to experiment with others and be systematic in recording their various effects on the image

Yes, this is on our list to add. Until then you will have to record the filters in the comments section.

Andrew Read I'm not sure if this has been ruled out, which might be understandable. Perhaps there is a concern that it would be necessary to list every possible filter as an option, which would be a difficult task, but I'm not sure if that's really necessary. Entering custom equipment is so easy an only needs to be done once. In the case of a filter it's just a name anyway - can't imagine any specifications would be necessary. Hope it may get consideration at some point.
