Is SkySafari 6 Pro + SkyFi 3 = Compatible With Celestron CPC Deluxe + Wedge Pro? (Answer: SkyFi 3 Supports Celestron Firmware 4.0 And Higher)

I am about to buy skyfi lll  but wondering wether IT will Work with celestron cpc Deluxe on a pro wedge as I would like to use it for AP !

  Hi Jochen,

  The baseline requirement for Celestron support in SkySafari 4/5/6 is Celestron firmware version 4.0 or higher, which is basically everything sold since 2008. This excludes the older Nexstar GT series, the original Celestron Nexstar series and the Celestron Ultima 2000.

  Please check the firmware version in your hand controller for confirmation.

  My HC is the newer Nexstar + . Hand controler version is NXS 5.22.3289. Motor Control is 6.196.19 . I do NOT have the starsense handcontroler !

  Sorry for asking again. Will the CPC on the Celestron Pro Wedge be supported ?? How will EQ north and polar alignment work ?? Will I use my handcontroler for alignment as usual and then switch WiFi III with Safari 6 plus on ??? I have already bought Safari 6 Plus. My Acer Iconia Android Tablet is Running an Android 7.1 but has No compass. My CPC Deluxe is with built in GPS. I just want to make sure that everything will work with the CPC on the pro wedge !

  Hi Jochen,

  Yes, everything will work.  You will polar align with the Celestron hand controller before connecting with SkySafari.

  Good morning Keiron

  I do have the original R45 to RS232 Kabel that came with the teleskop. This will be plugged into the handcontroler and then with a USB to serial adapter into the laptop when I used nexremote and stellarium. As far as I know WiFi III has USB mini USB in Rs 232 conector at the bottom ....

  Wil proper l alignment only work with the cable you mentioned ???
