Starry night crashes when I try to control telescope

I eventually got the plug in installed in my High Sierra i mac  version 10 13 06, and got the usb port in starry night  as an option linking my celestron Nexstar 5 handset,cpc telescope.
I succesfully was able to steer my telescope using starry night controls on pro plus 7. Success!

Then I  updated starry night option, and now starry night crashes when I try to link with telescope!

Please help as I thought problems were over  once I had the plug in properly installed.
