SkySafari 6 is showing Comet 289P (Blanpain) as magnitude -1.3. Pity it’s not that bright, but is currently a very dim +18.8

Володимир Гаврилюк I'm using SS 5+. Same bug. Looks like it's an old problem with displaying object's information. There is a more complex bug with drawing comet's tail and direction that is not fixed so far. I realize it is more difficult to fix. But inability for SS to correctly download or decypher object's info really upsets.

Mallincamusa Comet 289P according to SkyTools 4 is currently magnitude 13.15 and someone I know was showing it live during a broadcast on www.nsnlive last night using his C9.25 and MallinCam. It was clearly visible on the computer screen. If it was actually mag 18.8, he would not have been able to show it so nicely.
Yours truly,

Chris Came here to report this bug and found someone else beat me to it. Disappointing that the comet drawing bugs weren't fixed in the recent release, but more disappointing that magnitudes and often positions of comets are too often way off.

John Frazier I've been using this software for years with all the upgrades along the way. Bugs like this and others MUST be corrected. We need to be able to trust the data.

Володимир Гаврилюк Mobile Observatory software for Android currently shows 289P with 14.7 mag. Why SS can not do similar job?

Keiron Smith Does everyone find the object info for 289P now shows the correct magnitude?

Chris Showing 17.8 here, SS6 Pro on Android 10.

Dave Chapman Looks OK on SS5 MacOS, but iOS SS6 Pro shows +10 which is better than before, but still too bright.
