Why When Using Celestron WiFi Module Do I Get The Error Message "SkySafari Cant Make A Wireless Network Connection To The Scope. Make Sure You've Joined Itś WiFi Network"? (Answer: Celestron WiFi Modules Are Not Always Rock Solid - Read On!)

Hello,

i have an issue with Skysafari 6 Plus.I have installed it on my Ipad 6. Generation(PadOS 13.3.1-the newest).But it wouldnt connect with Celestrons WLan directly acces "Celestron Wi-Fi" enabled(no acces point).

Between my Nexstar 8SE with original WIFI Modul an my Ipad is a Connection.The Ipad find the WIFI Modul and let connect.But Skysafari 6 Plus wont it.It abort with Error" Sky Safari cant make a wireless network connection to the scope.Make sure you ve joined itś Wifi Network".

Same error with Celestrons Skyportal APP thats based on Skysafari...I have also Checked the other TelesScope Type Connections from Celestron.No Connect...

With my Iphone 6 (IOS 12.4.5)all worked fine with same settings...

    Please be sure to choose SkySafari Settings > Telescope Setup > ScopeType "Celestron WiFi".

    i tested a lot of times...always no connect...So i tested also the other Celestron Telescope Types too.All Types no connection.

    My Iphone works with setting telescope typ "Celestron WiFi"...

    Wifi Modul only connect with Ipad.But in SkySafari not with Celestron WiFi.So i think it must be a Bug with Skysafari.

    Please attach screenshots of your SkySafari telescope setup pages.  But, also, there are known issues with the Celestron WiFi modules, you may need to ask Celestron Support to replace the unit.  There is no bug in SkySafari in this regard.

    Hello Keiron,

    thanks for your help!!!When i write here about the Problem my first Wifi Modul was new.Only three days old.I wouldn´t believe there is an defekt...

    Now i get the next from Amazon.And it works with Iphone and Ipad.You´re right.It seem to be an hardware issue with the Celestron Module.
