SkySafari Plus + Chromebook Connected To Telescope Via INDI Server Running SkySafari Driver That Emulates LX200 Then Translates Commands To/From SkyWatcher EQ6-R Pro - Cannot Slew To Points Less Than 1 Degree South Of Equator

Hi, I'm using SkySafari Plus to control my telescope. I love it! Last night, however, I could not slew to objects within 1 degree south of the equator.

For example, I tested using Zaniah (less than 1 degree South), and the mount ended up above the equator by the same amount as Zaniah is below, and SkySafari never appeared to complete the slew (had to click "Stop" afterwards).

I then tested with Porrima (more than 1 degree South), and the mount is able to GoTo the star without any issues.

The multiple tests that I did indicate that -0 degrees (with non-zero minutes/seconds) is converting to +0 degrees (with minutes/seconds).

I use SkySafari Plus on a Chromebook. I connect it to my telescope via an INDI server running a SkySafari driver that emulates an LX200 and then translates commands to/from whatever mount INDI is controlling (in this case a SkyWatcher EQ6-R Pro). It is very possible that the INDI SkySafari driver has a bug, but I thought I would start by logging an issue with SkySafari first. Cartes du Ciel connected to INDI is able to slew to these points within 1 degree south of the equator without issue.

I think it's probably an issue in the INDI implementation.  I logged a very similarly worded issue on GitHub.  Someone pointed me at the code to look at.  It doesn't look like the INDI code is handling negative zero at all.
