My SkySafari Pro has stop connecting to SkyFi. The mount is a iOptron MiniTower with the 8401 hand controller and the setting on the SkySafari Pro are correct. When I go into settings on the app, the telescope setup Shows iOptron MiniTower 8401 and the auto-Detect shows that it is Detected at 10.0.0.1, but when I select the SkyFi Web Page I get a webpage not available response. When I try to connect to the scope on the main app page, it times out and I get a Connection Failure note. The phone is a Google Pixel 3XL smartphone. Can someone please help me with this?

Keiron Smith Jeffrey,
Are you sure your Google Pixel 3XL is connected to the SkyFi 3?
Please attach screenshots showing:
- Android OS WiFi settings > SkyFi 3 connected
- Scope Setup page
- Error message
Thanks!

Keiron Smith Also,
- In Help > scroll to the bottom > what version of SS Pro?
- What version of Android OS?
Thanks!

Jeffrey Thornton

The version of SS Pro is 6.7.2.0 and the version of Android is 10.
Any help would be appreciated
Jeff

Keiron Smith And, when you press the "SkyFi Web Page" button what happens? Please attach a screenshot.
Please also try connecting to SkyFi and opening the SkyFi Web Page using a different device.
Thanks!

Jeffrey Thornton My HP laptop connects just fine. Here is a screenshot of the 10.0.0.1 page and the four tab pages from the laptop:

Keiron Smith Great, so the issue is not the SkyFi 3. It seems that although your Pixel 3 says it is connected it is not.
I suggest you try to "forget" the SkyFi network, then reconnect. Also, reboot the phone.

Jeffrey Thornton Thank you Keiron,
I followed your suggestion and it work! for awhile. After pulling a few objects on SkySafari, I started getting this message and the only way to reconnect, is to physically disconnect the USB cord from the SkyFi and reattach. This will fix the problem for approximately 1 minute and I have to repeat the procedure. Any idea of what is causing this??

Keiron Smith I think you should try another device and see if performance improves. Probably, something about the Pixel 3, security or something else...

Jeffrey Thornton Keiron Smith,
The only other Handheld device we own is a Apple iPhone 7. In order to try this phone would mean purchasing another SkySafari 6 Pro for $39.99! I would be more that happy to do this if you reimburse me the price of the Apple S/W, or send me a no cost to me version.

Keiron Smith Here is a redeem code for SS6Pro on iOS: XJLRWWY3EJNH

Jeffrey Thornton Keiron,
I was able to load the SS6Pro onto my iPad mini 4 today and unfortunately, the same problem is happening. It connects fine for 1 to 2 minutes, but then disconnects. I even turn the home WiFi off and repeated the sequence with the same results. I am sure the SkyFi is the problem. Attached, you will find a screenshot from the iPad.
If you have any other ideas, please let me know.
