SkySafari 6 Plus - Compass Issue

Dear Support!

In the SkySafari6Plus applicaton, the function compass doesn't work properly. I attached a picture where you can see that the picture is like it have some excessive zoom out. It freezes out my phone too.
I've tried the following:
- Phone restart
- Data reset
- Reinstall
None of that worked so far, so please help in solving that problem.
I have a Redmi 7 Note phone with Android 9

  Hi Mate,

  I think you can resolve the issue like this:

  1. Uninstall the app
  2. Using a file browser, go to the top level of the SD card and RENAME the directory "SkySafari 6 Plus" as "SkySafari 6 Plus-old"
  3. Now reinstall the app and try again.

  Dear Keiron,

  Thank you for your advice and support; I've tried the recommended steps (twice), I've even clear the cache after the uninstall.

  Unforunatelly the problem have not solved :(

  I've started having the same issue.

  I've been using SkySafari 6 Plus for a few years and suddenly started having the same Compass mode behaviour as pictured above (except that it shows the Southern Hemisphere).

  Tried Keiron's suggestion but it did not resolve the problem.

  Phone is a Galaxy 7 running Android 8.0.0.
