How To Resolve SkySafari 6 Pro + Skywatcher AZGTi Mount + Android = Connection Failure? (Answer: Read On!)

Hi there,

I would like to ask your help...

I have a Skywatcher 127/1500 MC telescope with Skywatcher AZGTi mount (Freedom find). The manual of the mount says, I can use SkySafari to control (therefore I choose it) so I bought SkySafari 6 pro...
But I can't connect...

This is my set-up:

Equpment selection
Scoop type - SkyWatcher SynScyn
Mount type - Alt-Az. GoTo
Communication Setting
Connect via Wifi
IP Address - 192.168.4.3
Port Number - 11882

I tried it on my phone where I have the SynScan app, I tried it on a different phone too, no change, it can't connect.

What I am doing wrong? Can you help me, please?

    I could connect it about an hour ago, but the connection lost about 20 sec later and did not reconnect :/

    Tried... Did not work, therefore I opened new topic. I could connect with the 192.168.4.3, but only once and disconnected within 20 sec...
    Different IP addresses, like 192.168.4.1/2/4 did not work at all. :(

    Please review the SkyWatcher manual, and copy and paste here all the info that is offers regarding how to connect and control via SkySafari.

    Unfortunately it says only: 'You can use it with the SynScyn app and the SkySafary 5 app. (There is only SkySafary 6 in the app store)

    Last night I was able to connect it again, but after less than a minute, disconnected message came up and could not reconnect, only with restart the mount. But in that short time it was working great.

    What can be the reason, that it drops the connection?

    This advice from Skywatcher may solve the problem.

    For SynScan app to work with Skysafari, SynScan app must be allowed to run while it is switched to Android's background. Please ensure this setting is used: Android System Setting > SynScan App > Battery usage detail > don't restrict"
