Why Doesn't SkySafari 6 Pro Save My Settings After I Quite The App? (Answer: Read On!)

App started losing settings. Used to work fine. Now have to redo settings every time I open it.

  2. What app and version number?
  3. What OS version number?
  4. What settings specifically are lost?
  5. How are the settings lost - or what is the last thing you do before settings are lost?

  1. Still an issue.
  2. SkySafari 6 Pro, very 6.7.2.0.
  3. Android version 10, build QCOS30.85-18-3.
  4. The ones that I set, like "Show Horizon and Sky as Translucent Area".
  5. I exit the app and they're gone when I reopen it. Am I doing it wrong? I think that's how I used to do it and it used to keep those settings when I reopened the app.

  Hi Randy,

  Please make sure you are using LiveSky via SkySafari 6 Pro to back up your data before proceeding with the following.

  I think you can resolve the issue like this:

  1. Uninstall the app
  2. Using a file browser, go to the top level of the SD card and RENAME the directory "SkySafari 6 Pro" as "SkySafari 6 Pro-old"
  3. Now reinstall the app and try again.
  4. Login to LiveSky via SkySafari 6 Pro to sync all your data again.

  I started to do those and looks like I'm not logged into LiveSky. I tried but it failed. I did a password reset but that failed too. I sent a message to them.
