I have a Simpledream EQ3 by AstroGadget.
It has a slew limit of 15 degrees but when I try and goto a target more that 15 degrees I get the wrong error. "Command Failure The Scope can't slew to the target coordinates because they are below the horizon". The target is not below the horizon.

Keiron Smith The SimpleDream EQ3 is not compatible. You need to first star-align using a numerical hand controller that has an internal database; i.e. a GoTo mount.
Thanks!

Keiron Smith If it is possible, if you have the Micro GoTo mode, please read the SimpleDream manual.
"For the Android and iOS OS, in Micro GoTo mode, the SD works with SkySafari, OrionStarSeek, and others programs, while the telescope Meade Classic LX200 is selected as the telescope in the programs."

Dcarltonx Hi
my question wasn't if it was compatible or not. I can polar align and it works just fine. BUT if i set a goto target over 15 degrees i should get an error because of the SD in built slew limit. I get an error. correct.... but its the wrong error. The Target is not below the horizon.
i figured you'd like to know that skysafari is returning incorrect errors.

Keiron Smith Like I said, the SimpleDream EQ3 may not be compatible OR you may not be aligning in a way that works with SkySafari.
You need to contact AstroGadget for official support.
AstroGadget are claiming SkySafari is supported.
We are not claiming the SimpleDream EQ3 is supported.
Thanks!
