How Come SkySafari 6 Plus Compass Mode Creates A Ball Of Light? (Answer: Reinstall The App)

Hi.

About 80% of the time after opening Skysafari 6 Plus and either aiming my phone at the sky or tapping on the 'Compass' button, the main screen disappears into what looks like a small compressed circle although when I slide the display the main screen re-appears but goes bad again when the compass is used. I upgraded from the free app a few days ago as was getting this problem before but it still does it. Difficult to explain but I've added a screenshot to illustrate.

I'm using an HTC U11, Android version 9.

I notice a couple of people were having this problem last year but doesn't appear to have been resolved?

    If this is still an issue please reinstall from Google Play Store.

    Hi Keiron

    It has been behaving itself over the past few days although seems to be more jerky than before when scanning the night sky.  Unsure if there's a setting I can change to make it smoother?
