When I select "Tonight" and the list of events appears, for the "Calendar" events (the blue ones) that have a description, I am unable to read the full description. Selecting an event goes directly to the sky map and the full description is lost.

Yes, I mentioned that issue during beta testing. The recommended solution was to tap the "View All" above the list of Calendar Events. This takes you to the full list of events. Unfortunately, it takes you to the first event of the month, so you have to scroll down to find the event you want to read about. Pedro said they would try to think of a better solution.
