First off are Sky Safari Plus (DL 2-23-22) & Nexstar GT compatable ? Having alignment issues, always ends 3rd star with failure & no explanation of what the problem was.

fifty plus Secondly & likely related. Fresh start of both the mount and Sky Safari Plus. Mount is positioned pointing at N horizon. On connection the onscreen mount pointing indicator is well below the horizon. I touch a star on the horizon bringing the crosshairs there, touch align to sync and get a message similar to ' failure -- target is too far from actual position '. Isn't that the purpose of align ? I've read that portion of the manual but the, I assume, translation to English is not clear on that point.
P.s. Mount is Alt/Az. I've used Sky Safari Plus with a GEM mount and alignment goes smoothly.
