Both my devices that include a newer Motorola phone and a Samsung tablet have Sky Safari pro 6 installed. So I started getting the upgrade to pro 7 messages but when I follow the link it says this version is not compatible with your device. What does this mean? What version of Android software must you have?

Ingvar Stepanyan Does it use much specific to Android 10? Can those parts/features be isolated to provide Android 9 compatible version? I'm on a device that won't upgrade past Android 9, and unlikely to upgrade the device itself even though I'd happily pay for the new Skysafari.

Mike Atkins The change in OS version support is directly related to the new security/permissions schemes Google has been baking into the newer Android versions. It is, unfortunately, the "Nature of the Beast".
