Feature Request - Connect To SS7 On Android via OTG

Is it possible to implement and is there any interest?

Specifically I'm curious about connecting to a SynScan AltAz Mount with or without using the hand controller.

    Mike,

How is this different from the current available implementations?

    What is OTG?

    Thanks!

OTG is USB On The Go. It allows connection and use of USB devices and other peripherals to the USB port on an Android device. Connection is made with an adapter cable, one end fits the USB port on the device, the other end is usually a standard USB-A Female.

What is the SynScan connection you envision using this USB OTG functionality?  Is any other manufacturer making something to similar to what you are asking for?  Thanks!

Not sure if I fully understand what I read, but here goes.

The SynScan controller can be flashed with different firmware that allows it to be a bridge for serial comms via an external device. I believe the application is via Indi. I haven't had time to really experiment but I've been working on getting a Linux shell running on Android (my Linux box died...) and seeing if I can get serial commands running again.
