How To Import .Skylist File Into SS7 Pro On Android? (Answer: Email The Skylist File To Yourself, Import Via SS7 - Read On)

I have a .skylist file for the Bambury 600, a list similar to the Deepmap 600 but with a Southern Hemisphere emphasis.

https://ozsky.org/BAM600/

How do I import it?

I'd also like to have the Southern Sky telescope and binocular lists from the Astronomical League available,  but I only have those files as PDFs. Is there an alternative to keypunching them in?

    Matt,

Long time no reply, but here it is.

Download the skylist, then email it to yourself.

Open the email, tap the stylist file link (do not download it).

You will be given an option to choose what program you want to open the file with.

    Choose SkySafari.

    Thanks!

I tried the same with my Android Version 13 Samsung Galaxy device, Skysafari 7 Pro installed with builtin email client. I get error message (translated from German): Cannot open file. There are no Apps to open this filetype. You can search in playstore. Build in File Explorer does work neither.

I found no option to set this extension in Android Apps setting.

It finally worked with Total Commander where SkySafari icon is shown with the downloaded .skylist file right away.

Try logging into your native email web service, and importing the Skylist file from the email that way; i.e. don't use an email client.
