when choosing the VIEW button on the calendar section of sky safari , the chart always corresponds to one location : New York city. it should point to my current location ...
SkySafari Events are created using .skyset files. See User Data > Saved Settings
You can create skyset files yourself, for any future or past astronomical event, save the file, share the file.
When you create and save a skyset file a location must be chosen.
The creator of the events you have viewed has been using New York as the location.
It would be nice if events, when viewed, would dynamically adapt to show the users home location, but that is not possible at this time.
