SkySafari 7 Pro and Sky-Watcher Alt-Az GTi Wifi connection issues

SkySafari 7 Pro
Android V 12
Sky-Watcher Alt-AZ GTi Wifi with EQ firmware update
Synscan Pro App Ver 2.3.3 - controls mount as expected (Mount works with both NINA and AsiAir Plus)

Motor board firmware 3.40.A5

Despite being connected to the Wifi Ap on the Alt-Az GTi, I cannot make any connection via SkySafari 7 Pro whatsoever.

I specify that it's a Sky-Watcher Synscan with EQ GoTo (German). I use the default IP address on the mount, 192.168.4.1, with the port being 11882.

If I press "Check connection", it tells me it cannot make a wireless connect. Doesn't matter which port I try it just doesn't see the mount at all. I am running the SynScan app on my phone at the same time I can slew the mount no problem, so I know I'm on the SynScan wifi ok. Have just controlled it via NINA and Stellarium as a test using a mini-pc and it works as expected.

There is very little to configure on the Telescope settings in SkySafari 7 Pro, so struggling to understand why it cannot see the mount.

Any ideas appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Rov

    Rovin,

Did you review the User Guide created by Jamie?

Please follow the guide and be specific about where in the guide you can not follow the instructions or get the same result.

Perhaps Jamie can assist when time permits.

    Thanks!

Rather than address any specifics raised in my support request, you point me to a user-generated guide (twice). I've actually given up on SkySafari and rather than waste any more time, I'll just request a refund through Google Play.

    Not exactly a great customer-journey.

Success here requires the community works together.  Unfortunately, but also realistically, I do not have access to every scope on the market with which to troubleshoot all the possible configurations that may present a challenge.  Jamie has the mount, has successfully configured and has kindly written the user-guide, plus, he has helped other community members with troubleshooting in the past.  Community support works, thanks to the amazing contributions made by members like Jamie.

If you provide your GPA receipt number I will issue the refund.

    Thanks for trying SS7.

I am having the simular issues as you Rovin, I cant get my Samsung Galaxy S9+ Android 10 running S/S 7 Pro to connect to my mount, which is the SkyWatcher Star Adventurer GTi Wi-Fi so I can slew it to a given target. I can get the telrad to move but the mount wont. I have been over and over S/S posts and forums on the issue but still can't get it to work. I am obviously missing something but what.

    Robert,

    Please see here:

[### User Guide ###] SkyWatcher + SynScan Pro App Configuration With SkySafari 7 Pro

If you still need help you need to create your own NEW post in the community forum, and provide the following info:

    1. App and version
    2. OS
    3. Device make and model
    4. Screenshots of SkySafari Preset settings
    5. Screenshots of SynScan Pro app settings
    6. Screenshot of error message
    7. Photos of your hardware setup.
    8. Etc, etc.

Also, consider Mike's BT solution which appears to be bulletproof.

[### User Guide ###] How To Connect SS7 Plus & Pro To The Orion SkyQuest XXG and SkyWatcher SynScan Dob On Android OS VIA Bluetooth (And Works With Any Other SynScan Control Scope System, EQ Or Alt/Az - SynScan App Not Required)
