SkyFI on Windows 10 using Skysafari Pro4 & bluestacks

Hello Brain Trust,

I have copied and pasted my deliema that was posted in CN..  Like I say the SS Pro-4 works ok with Bluestacks but I cannot get laptop to connect to SkyFi...???? Thank you, Kasey

"I have SS Pro 4 on my windows 10 64 bit laptop and am using bluestacks to run it..  I have been having fits trying to get my Sky fi remote antenna to work.  The sky safari works ok in all areas except connection to the Skyfi..   I  have had 2 different pretty sharp computer guys try to get it working but no joy...  The last guy downloaded and inatalled HW VSP with all info filled out ie address/port/etc and still will not connect..  When go to WI-FI settings Skyfi comes up cut when try to connect I get "cannot connect to this network".  I can connect with my i-pad no problem so I know the skyfi is working....  Any ideas or anyone found a fix for this?  Thank you, Kasey"

  Kasey,

  SkyFi uses an Ad Hoc network by default.  With the progression from Windows 7 to Windows 10, Microsoft has made it increasingly difficult to connect to Ad Hoc networks.  You might do some googling to see how to do it with your version of Windows.

   

  I'm not a Windows guy, but I think Keiron here knows the ins and outs.  I will try to make sure he chimes in on this (although he's on vacation until next week).

   I will have to try all of that when can get to it in a couple days..   Some of it is way over my head, so will take it to PC Laptop and see if they can get it going..  Thank you again Bill and Kerion,
