SkyGuide Is Blank

To resolve this issue....

1. Uninstall Starry Night if already installed.
2. Create a new folder under the root folder of your boot drive. Ex. C:\Telescope
3. Right click on the Starry Night Celestron SE.exe installation file as select, Run as Administrator.
4. When prompted to choose an installation folder, Select the folder you created in Step 2. Ex... C:\Telescope\Starry Night Celestron SE 8

The SkyGuide panel will now display correctly when Starry Night is opened.

Thank you to Cliff Hunter for submitting this solution to support!

Keiron Smith....  Update to the solution I submitted above.
I opened Starry Night earlier today and once again, the SkyGuide was blank.  I haven't used Starry Night recently so I'm not sure what caused SkyGuide to be blank once again.  I un-installed SN then re-installed it using the same instructions listed earlier to get SkyGuide working again.

Thanks for the update, Cliff!  Still happy you found a working solution, but would love to know what is the origin of this issue for sure!

Followed the instructions above. Uninstalled and reinstalled having having created a new folder, and ran the .exe as the Administrator). It did not ask me to locate the downloaded files in the new folder. Open the application and the SkyGuide panel opened.

Thank you for your prompt support. :-)

This suggested fix is not permanent. I've probably had to re-install SN8 3-4 times in the past year as Sky Guide will always go back to being blank at some point. Will there ever be a proper fix put in place to address this?
