Keiron Smith Lior,
Please review the guide created by one of our very knowledgeable beta-testers.
[### User Guide ###] SkyWatcher + SynScan Pro App Configuration With SkySafari 7 Pro
Thanks!

Maybe you didn’t read my post carefully ?
I have no problem connecting or configuring.
The problem is within the app codes. Something isn’t working properly. The most important functions for proper use aren’t working as they should or as they used to in earlier version.
Without dual encoders support and without align function(also not taking SynScan offsets)- telescope control is useless. -

Hi, between 7.0.1 and 7.0.2, we updated to the latest SynScan library code. We are making the right calls but suspect there might be an issue or two in the latest library code. In the case of the dual encoders for example, the ability has to be provided by SynScan through their library. We've reached out to SkyWatcher. I'll also speak with the dev team - we could try to roll back to the older version but ideally we'd sort it out with SkyWatcher. We're a bit frustrated too - but getting there.

Jose Joaquin I had the same problem with align in ss7. It cannot be selected. And error messages between synscan and ss7 all the time. I dont know if synscan pro is to blame, but ss7 is way too expensive to be this mess.

Keiron Smith Lior,
Thanks for the clarification.
SS7 developers have opened a discussion with SynScan developers.
We will have it working one way or another - as soon as possible.
Thanks for your patience at this time.

Fernando Huet Grondona Hello. This is an old post, but I have the same problem now and I didn’t find any other info about that.
I have a Sky-Watcher Flextube dobsonian scope with goto and encoders.
I can connect with any issue the Dobson to SkySafari on an iPad with the required SynScan Pro app and choosing SynScanLink at SS7 (7.3.6). I can move the scope through SS7 and make Goto etc.
But if I try to move the scope manually (Disengaging the two wheels that brake the movement), the position SS7 is not updated. SS7 is not reading the encoders.
I made multiple tries:
If I use only the physical SynScan controller, if I move the scope, the shown coordinates change accordingly. (Obviously Auxiliary encoders option is enabled). If I do the same with SynScan app without connecting to SS7, the position shown at SynScan app is also correctly updated when moving manually the tube.
BUT… if I connect SS7, the position is OK after the connection, but If I move the scope manually, the position is not updated.
SS7 doesn’t read the encoders position. And if I go back and look at SynScan app, the Auxiliary Encoders option is DISABLED.
That means SS7 disconnects the Encoders option at SynScan, and they are no more working, even if I enable them again.
Any help on this?
I’d like to disengage the brake wheels at the Flextube Dobson and move manually the scope. It saves battery and permits me also doing some movements at the target position without no using the iPad controls.
Thx -
Keiron Smith Fernando,
This is a very old discussion. Please see these posts:

Fernando Huet Grondona Thank you.
I will repeat the same question in one of those posts. I knew all of them, as I've been looking for a solution for hours!.
As I explained, I can connect without any issue between my iPad and the Synscan Flextube Dobson. But is an encoders question, in case of releasing the encoders wheels.
Skysafari does not update the position when moving the scope manually.Thx anyway.
